St. Lucie Public Schools Takes Seat On ACDA Board
LUCIE COUNTY — Darren Frymoyer, senior area specialist within the Child Nutrition Services Department of St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS), was installed onto the America Commodity Distribution Association (ACDA) Board of Directors. He will represent all U.S. public school districts as the fellow School District Recipient Agent. In this role, he will be responsible for being a voice to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), along with all stakeholders, in providing healthy choices regarding USDA Foods that impact all public school children throughout our nation.
SLPS Director of Child Nutrition Services Deborah Wuest said, “It is an honor to have a member of St. Lucie Public Schools representing our district. The ACDA serves as a vital link between industry and trade members. It also provides information to USDA Foods.” She went on to explain that the ACDA supports communication between agriculture, industry, government and the customer regarding policy decisions impacting food distribution programs. “We are thrilled to have Darren as our national leading representative voice, bringing recognition to SLPS while conveying the feedback that affects our children’s daily nutritional choices in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program.”
