Ready to See The 7 Natural Wonders of the World?

We are turning up the heat this summer with two special mini challenges sure to increase your daily step count. Our second virtual adventure will be The Seven Natural Wonders of the World.  Embark on an adventure to visit some of the world’s most amazing natural wonders and more.  Walking through each of these magical places will have you seeing the world in a whole new light. This challenge runs from August 10 – 23, 2018.  Registration is now open! 

REGISTRATION

While this is an individual challenge, all steps earned will be automatically added to your existing team and to our Billion Steps Challenge. There are three versions of this 7 Natural Wonders challenge to choose from, based on your current activity level. However, you may only register for ONE of the versions, so review the options below and choose wisely!

7 Natural Wonders “HOP” – Maybe you aren’t active on a regular basis or have fallen off our Billion Step Challenge wagon, then the 7 Wonders “HOP” is the perfect challenge level for you.  The 7 Natural Wonders “HOP” has been set for participants who want to work on the goal of reaching 5,000 steps per day, through walking and/or other activities.

7 Natural Wonders “DASH” – If you have been logging regularly and you are near or over 10,000 steps per day but looking for little push to stay consistent, then the 7 Natural Wonders “DASH” is right for you. While 10,000 is set as a minimum daily average, don’t let that limit you if you have higher aspirations!!

7 Natural Wonders “ULTRA” – There are some that have surpassed the 10,000 steps per day mark, and are much closer to the 20,000 steps per day mark.  If that is you, then the 7 Natural Wonders “ULTRA” will be the best choice for you.

Jennifer is a guest blogger with the Healthy St. Lucie Coalition. She is an experienced public health professional, with a career spanning over 21 years. In 1999 she began working in tobacco control, where she spent nearly 18 years implementing communication and community engagement activities at the county, regional, and statewide levels to shape social norms about tobacco and increase adoption of policies to reduce tobacco use. In 2017, Jennifer accepted a position as the Director of Health Promotion with the Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie County. In this role she oversaw the implementation of Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), including initiatives to improve breastfeeding rates, encourage healthy eating, increase physical activity, and reduce chronic disease. Jennifer administered a community-wide activity campaign, the Billion Steps Challenge, to encourage adults in St. Lucie County to be more physically active. In July 2021, Jennifer took on a new role as the Director of Communications and Public Relations for the Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie. In this position, she will manage media relations, public relations, develop data-driven communication plans, and implement new marketing initiatives for health and wellness programs. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking local parks, taking art classes, and spending time with family and friends.
