A subcommittee of the Healthy St. Lucie Coalition, the WWC formed to coordinate local efforts to improve health and create a community of practice to assist employers in incorporating worksite wellness into their businesses. The Council seeks to provide networking, education, tools and other resources to cultivate and sustain a culture of health and wellness for employees and their families.
Coalition leaders are volunteers that share an interest in improving community health through worksite wellness. Current membership includes representatives from local businesses, the wellness industry, academia, local government, and area nonprofits. Additional leadership opportunities are available!
Immediate objectives include providing opportunities for employers, human resource staff, worksite wellness advocates, program providers and interested employees to share ideas, learn about best practices, identify resources, and find creative ways to build and sustain programs.
